The Smaller Islands / Mainland- Sporades Islands- Alonissos

€155,000 ( £155,000 approx. )
Property code: ANSDH- New / Re-sale Property - Bedrooms: 2
Property Description
Reduced from 175,000 Euros. 2 bedroom/2 bathroom fully furnished two storey house of 91sqm with fantastic sea views on the island of Alonissos. The house has a plot size of 128sqm with hard standing for a car or boat. It is approx 1.3kms from the sea. An approx 10 minute walk takes one to the nearest beach where there are also 2 excellent tavernas.

Alonissos is the northern island of the Sporades Islands group. It is located east of Skopelos. Alonissos does not have its own airport which means that it retains much of its Greek charm as it is not overrun by tourists. You can easily get there however, by flying direct to Skiathos airport and then taking either the ferry (about 1.5 hours as it usually calls at the island of Skopelos) or the direct hydrofoil during high season.

The island of Alonissos is known for its incredible natural beauty and amazing beaches. It has a stunning and varied coastline with none of the resort developments as seen on the larger islands. The pace of life on Alonissos is relaxed. Traditional professions and customs are evident and fishing is still a major market for the island. The fishing port of Patitiri is a colourful and lively one and the waterfront bars and taverns provide an attractive setting to have a drink or meal and watch the world go by.  Alonissos is an island of contrasts - a rich green interior of pine forest and olive groves and the varied shades of blue Aegean Sea and is ideal for those looking for an unspoilt Greek island.

This property is located in a very quiet area on the edge of a picturesque old village yet it is just a 5 minute stroll from the shops, tavernas and bars. The main port at Patitiri is a 15 minute walk away down the donkey track or one can take a very short taxi ride or local bus that runs a frequent service.

The views from the house are fantastic. They stretch across a wooded valley. To one side there are views of various islands as far as Skyros (about 30 miles /48kms) and to the other side to Evia (about 35 miles/56kms).
