The Main House

To the left of the first section of kitchen is another traditional archway and in this area is the cooker, small sink and another archway in which is the original oven, making a really special feature in the corner of the room.

The upper level is accessed via a wooden staircase to the right of the dining area and this takes one directly to the mezzanine floor which has the bedroom to the right and lounge area to the left.

All of the house is open plan with clearly defined areas.

As with downstairs, the walls and wood are painted white ensuring a bright, clean and fresh feel to the property, all the while keeping many of the original features.

Guest Building:

The guest house is also just off the courtyard and backs on to the garden. It has a large double bedroom and ample wardrobe space, along with table and chairs.

Additionally it has a large shower room which also has a new washing machine in.

As with the rest of the house, furniture and fittings are white with bold accent colours.  Any guests would feel instantly at home here!

Outside:

Terrace 1: This is reached from the lounge area and is a lovely covered dining and seating area with many plants and ornaments and views to the countryside. It also feels private and not overlooked.

Terrace 2: This is reached either from the garden or up from Terrace 1 and offers an ideal sunbathing area with 360 views of the White Mountains, forest and local area.

Terrace 3: This is a smaller terrace which sits on the roof of the guest building and has been constructed so an extra room can be built if required.

Garden:  The garden is accessed through a jasmine covered archway and a few steps lead up to a very traditional Cretan view – 17 olive trees, 1 fig and specially, the original threshing circle, still very much intact. The owners get a good olive harvest and make their own oil.
